New Adventist Church at Rizal, Laguna

The newly build Seventh-dat Adventist Church in Rizal, Laguna was inagurated last Saturday and attended by pastors and elders of different churches of Laguna 1.

Communion Service

We held our 3rd Communion Service for this year last Saturday. Our district pastor, Ptr Fadriquela led the ceremony. He's also our speaker on our Hour of Worship. After the service we have our potluck at the basement then followed by seminar by Ptr Fadriquela.

Last Saturday Speaker

Our Sabbath Worship message was delivered by Bro. Lito Montesines. He again used powerpoint for his message. Bro Jaoud and Bro. Dones led the Sabbath Lesson review. Potluck at the basement followed and a Health lecture in the afternoon.

4th Sunday Night of Ingathering

Our 4th Sunday of of Ingathering thru Singing band. Although its raining that day, the rain stop when we started rendering song. We are able to serenade more than 15 houses that night. The rain started to pour again after we finish our Ingathering that night.

Successful Event at Araneta Coliseum

The General Conference Council Sabbath Service held yesterday at Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City was successful with more than 12,000 people attended the rare event held here in the Philippines. Adventist World leaders from around the world led by Ptr. Jan Paulsen together with different leaders of each Division, Conferences and Local Churches. The event was covered live by the HOPE Channel

Hope Channel to air segments of Annual Council live from Philippines

This weekend Seventh-day Adventist church leaders from around the globe convene for their annual business session, titled this year, Mission of Hope. Special portions of the event will be broadcast live from Manila, Philippines, and air across the entire Hope Channel network beginning Friday, October 10, and Sabbath, October 11, with a total of six hours of live programming, and several hours of rebroadcasts.

Viewers will also be treated to presentations by Adventist world church president Jan Paulsen and vice president Mark Finley, as well as great music from the Philippines and Korea’s Golden Angels.

One highlight of this year’s convocation will be the launch of “Follow the Bible,” a worldwide initiative featuring a 12-by-18 inch Bible commissioned and printed exclusively by the Adventist church. A Pathfinder honor guard will present this beautiful Bible to pastor Alberto Gulfan, president of the church’s Southern-Asia Pacific region during a special ceremony. Each of the 66 books of this 1500 page Bible is written in a different language. It will begin a nearly two-year global journey connecting Christians and continents through local and regional events, and a Bible reading plan. The Bible will end its odyssey on June 30, 2010, as it is presented to pastor Paulsen during the opening ceremonies of the church’s 59th General Conference Business Session in Atlanta, Georgia.

GC Annual Council 2008 Sabbath Service

The General Conference Annual Council 2008 will be held here in the Philippines. There will be Sabbath Service at Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City this coming Saturday, October 11, 2008. Adventist leaders led by our Adventist world church president Ptr. Jan Paulsen and vice president Ptr. Mark Finley will gather for this special occasion.

Ingathering

Last Sunday evening we started our 1st Sunday Night of our annual Ingathering with our traditional singing band every weekend. We were 14 brethren who join that night singing christian song. We're able to serenade more than 15 establishment and houses.

GC Annual Council 2008

The General Conference Annual Council Meeting 2008 will be held here in the Philippines. And on October 11, 2008, the GC Council will have the Sabbath Service at Araneta Coliseum. Be there to experience this rare opportunity and be bless with great song and music.

Fellowship at Magdalena

Laguna I District Fellowship held last Saturday at Magdalena Town Covered Court. Magdalena SDA was the host for this fellowship. The speaker was Ptr. Nepthali Mañez, North Philippine Union Mission (NPUM) executive secretary. Also present was Ptr. Rey Torres, SCLC executive secretary, Ptr. Adap, Retired Ptr. Villarias, Retired Ptr. Suasi and our District Pastor, Fadriquela. In the afternoon was a mini concert by Menagerie Choir from AUP. A message by Ptr. Torres and a tribute to all grandparents after the concert. District Fellowship

The Laguna I District will have a Fellowship this coming Saturday, September 20, 2008. This will be held at Covered Court in Magdalena, Laguna.

Mass Baptism at Rizal, Laguna

This afternoon of Sabbath, about 80 soul were baptized in this town of Rizal, Laguna. This town is between Nagcarlan and San Pablo. Church are being built in Rizal, Laguna to be their place of worship. We asked for your prayer for this newly organized church in Rizal, Laguna.

Ongoing Crusade at Rizal, Laguna

There are ongoing Crusade being held nightly at the Town of Rizal here in Laguna led by our district pastor, Ptr Fadriquela. Mass baptism will be on Saturday, SDA Church are being built at the said town.

Our Speaker from North Philippine Union Mission

Our Sabbath Divine Worship speaker yesterday was from Accounting Department of North Philippine Union Mission, Bro. Ramil Dayo. Special song from Reynalyn Arvesu together with her two friends. AY program at about 2:00 pm by Bro. Zurich and Sis. Sarah then at 4:00 pm a mini seminar about making a donut conducted by Sis. Noemi Dones.

Our Sabbath Divine Worship speaker was from Lipa Adventist Academy, Sis. Aliliy Union Gamaro. She is the Food Service Director of Lipa Adventist Academy. AY program started at 2 p.m.

Sis. Noemi Dones, our Music Ministry Director was our speaker on our divine worship last Saturday. She delivered a short but powerful message for all the brethren.

Communion Service

Last Vesper, Friday evening, we held our communion service with Ptr. Lem Fadriquela and Bro. Dony Brena our head elder led the communion ceremony. Next day, Our Sabbath Worship was held at Bukal SDA Church as our exchange program. Ptr. Fadriquela delivered the message for the Hour of Worship.

Tomorrow, Sabbath, we'll be having an exchange program with Bukal SDA Church, this will be like a mini fellowship.

We'll be having a Communion Service this coming Vesper, Friday Aug 1, 2008. This will be our Second Communion Service for this year.

District Fellowship at Majayjay

This morning was the Laguna 1 District Fellowship held at Majayjay, Laguna. With Family as the theme for this quarter of fellowship. Mrs Delba de Chavez was the guest speaker for the Divine Worship. She was the Director of Family Ministry and wife of Ptr. Nelson de Chavez, former President of South-Central Luzon Conference. Afternoon Program with mini concert followed after lunch.

Laguna 1 District Fellowship

On Saturday, June 21, 2008 will be the Laguna 1 District Fellowship. This will be held at Town plaza of Majayjay, Laguna.

Message for Sabbath

Yesterday our Sabbath Worship speaker was retired Ptr. Luisito Suasi. He was one of our former district pastor here in Laguna 1. He also led the Sabbath School Lesson review together with Sis. Susan Brena. In the evening we have services at the wake of Bro. Boyet Arnisto, with Ptr. De Chavez who gave a short message and his wife who rendered a special song.
