Message from Sabbath School Director

Our Sabbath School Director, Treasurer, Sis Ana Arnisto gave the message this morning. Its raining here the whole day with our AY program started at around 3pm with only a few who attended the afternoon program.

Start of One Week Mini Crusade

Our one week of mini crusade will start tomorrow evening, Sunday, December 6 up to December 12. The program will start at 7:30 pm up to 9:00 pm. The speaker for each night will be our youth to be assist by the elders. Each members is task to bring along one friend. We ask you to include our crusade in your prayer.

Praise Program

We'll be having a Praise Program tomorrow December 5, 2009 at DLSP in San Pablo City. Each Church is ask to bring gift to be given to the less fortunate and flood victims.

Communion Service

We had a communion service last Sabbath with our head elder Bro. Dony Brena and Bro. Jaime Dones led the ceremony after the message of Bro Kervie. This was our last communion service for the year in preparation for our upcoming crusade next week. Potluck was followed at our basement and AY program started at around 2 pm in the afternoon.

Our Speaker

Bro. Kervie Arvesu, an adventist youth delivered his message for the first time last Saturday during our last day of our 1 week of prayer. Our Adventist Youth Choir rendered the speceial song before the message

Communion Service

We'll be having a Communion Service this coming Saturday. This will culminate our One Week of Prayer and then first week of December is the start of our One week Crusade.

Start of One Week of Prayer

We'll be having a One week of prayer and we started it this morning. Bro Donato Brena our head elder delivered the message of the first day of 1 week of prayer. And next Sabbath will be our Communion Service. Then our Crusade on the first week of December.

Thanks and God bless

Our prayers were answered, two generous family abroad gave a brand new Sony LCD projector this month. We already used it yesterday during our Sabbath worship. We'll be using it this coming December for our crusade. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Dinalyn and Ryan Arguelles together with Michelle and Randy Tuala for generous gift to Liliw SDA Church. God bless and thank you from all of us here.

Rizal Seventh-day Adventist Church

We are at Rizal Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rizal, Laguna. The church was a newly established church where some of the newly baptized doesn't attend anymore, that is why the district has a program to help the church by means of nurturing. Last Sturday, Bro Jaime Dones delivered the message for the brethren. Every week each church from the district is assigned to give messages to the brethren of Rizal SDA Church.

The Harpers

The Harpers, an all male choir from AUP gave a special music during our Fellowship in Hour of Worship here in Liliw, Laguna. The Harpers also rendered a mini concert in the afternoon during AY program.

A Little Night of Music

A benefit concert was held at Sta Isabel Adventist Elementary School Covered gym last Saturday evening. The concert entitles, "A Little Night of Music" featuring Abigail Andaya a Soprano from AUP, Josiah Paquio, a Baritone from AUP with Reymar Felias at the Piano. The show started at about 8 pm and lasted until 10:30 pm. We'll post photos later.

Successful Fellowship

We have a successful fellowship yesterday, October 17 held here at Liliw Town Plaza. God answers our prayer to have a good weather because the day before the fellowship, PAG-ASA, our local weather bureau forecast the the coming storm will hit the country by Friday evening. Luckily with God's help we have a sunny day the whole morning and afternoon. Congregations from different Churches from Laguna I District came to attend the fellowship. Ptr. Fadriquela was the speaker with The Harpers, an all male choir from AUP rendered special song. Potluck during lunch hour after the Hour of Worship. in the afternoon a mini concert by The Harpers and short program after the mini concert. Fellowship Tomorrow Here in Liliw

We will host the Laguna I District Fellowship tomorrow, Saturday October 17, 2009 at Liliw Town Plaza. The emphasis is Sabbath School and Personal Ministry. Our speaker will be Ptr. Lem Fadriquela with guest choir, The Harpers from AUP.

A Benefit Concert

Sta. Isabel Adventist Elementary School will host a benefit concert entitled "A Little Night of Music" at Sta Isabel Adventist Elementary School Covered Court, Sta Isabel, San Pablo City this coming Saturday Evening, October 17, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Please come and support this benefit concert.

Our church will host this coming Laguna I Fellowship here in Liliw, Laguna on October 17, 2009 at Liliw Town Plaza.

92nd Anniversary of Nagcarlan Seventh-day Adventist Church

The Seventh-day Adventist Church of Nagcarlan, Laguna celebrated their 92th years founding anniversary last Saturday. Sta Lucia SDA Church and Liliw SDA Church was invited to join their celebration. Power failure due to typhoon did not stop us from attending the Sabbath service. The program continue til afternoon with potluck during lunch. Sta Lucia and Liliw were the fruit of the early Adventist of Nagcarlan SDA Church.

A Message from the Youth

A message was delivered by one of the youth in our church, Bro Jomar Brena, youngest son of our head elder, Bro Dony Brena. It was his first time to deliver a message but from the feedback that we received, they appreciate the way he delivered the message.

Elder's Seminar at SCLC

Bro. Dony Brena, our head elder and Bro. Lito Montesines, elder attended the Laguna Elder's Seminar last Saturday at South-Central Luzon Conference in San Pablo City. The seminar was led by North Philippine Union Conference Ministerial Secretary, Ptr. Gayoba and South-Central Luzon Conference Ministerial Secretary, Ptr. Flores. The seminar was attended by almost all the Elders fron the Province of Laguna and their District Pastors. It was a whole day seminar from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at SCLC Hall.

Speaker last Sabbath

Bro. Noriel Brena delivered the message last Saturday during the Hour of Worship. AY program in the afternoon was at the house of Bro. Joel Arvesu. Bro. Dony Brena and Bro Lito Montesines attended the Laguna Elder's Seminar at SCLC San Pablo City.

Laguna Elder's Seminar

The South-Central Luzon Conference will conduct tomorrow the Laguna Wide Elder's Seminar at SCLC San Pablo City. The speaker will be led by Ptr. Gayoba, NPUC Ministerial Director and Ptr. Flores, SCLC Ministerial Director.

Ptr Suasi Message

Retired District Pastor, Ptr. Luisito Suasi was our speaker last Saturday. Ptr. Suasi is scheduled to be our speaker every last Sabbath of the Month starting last June.

Condolence to Villarias Family

We would like to condoled with the family of Ret. Pastor Billy Villarias, whose wife Mrs. Thelma Villarias passed away yesterday, Saturday afternoon. The body lies at South-Central Conference in San Pablo City. Interment will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Pastor Villarias, our former district pastor and his wife were very active in evangelism.

Exchange Program

Last Saturday, August 8, 2009, Liliw Seventh-day Adventist members handled the program at Magdalena Seventh-day adventist Church in Magdalena Laguna. Our elder Bro. Dony Brena was the speaker during the Hour of Worship. Our AY leader also handled the program in the afternoon.

Our Speaker last Sabbath

Last Saturday, Sis Baddeth Brena, wife of Noriel Brena delivered the message during our Hour of Worship. Her topic was about family relationship which should be centered on Christ, our saviour. AY starts at about 2:30 in the afternoon. And this coming Saturday we will be at Magdalena SDA Church, Magdalena Laguna for the Exchange Program.

Retired Ptr. Suasi

Former District Pastor, retired Ptr. Luisito Suasi was our guest speaker in our Sabbath Hour of Worship. Ptr Suasi will be our regular speaker every last Sabbath of every month. Visitation for the people who attended our last crusade in the afternoon after AY program.

Social Night with Jonathan Vliet

We had a social night in the evening of Saturday to celebrate a one week of successful crusade led by our speaker from Generation of Youth for Christ GYC, Bro. Jonathan Vliet. It's was a fun filled evening with lots of games. We also gave Bibles and other books. Evening snacks was served before we parted way. A plaque was also given to Bro. Jonathan Vliet and his wife Alyssa for their dedication in spreading the gospels.

Fellowship at San Pablo City

The Laguna 1 of SCLC held a district fellowship at San Pablo Central School Auditorium yesterday. With all the GYC Generation of Youth for Christ speaker, the GYC president Justin McNeilus delivered the message during the Hour of Worship. Ptr. Gene Villanueva, SCLC President.

3rd and 4th Night of Crusade

The Revelation of Hope led by our speaker bro. Jonathan Vliet was on its 4th night yesterday. On the 3rd night the interpreter was Bro. Kervy and last night the interpreter for our speaker was Bro. Zurich. Health lecture was also led by our speaker's wife Sis. Alyssa Vliet.

2nd Night of Crusade

The Revelation of Hope Crusade by Bro. Jonathan Vliet was on its second day last night. The interpreter for that night was Bro. Robin. Health lecture was led by Alyssa, wife of Jonathan Vliet, interpreted by Sis. Ana Arnisto. Ptr. Lemmuel Fadriquela was also present that night. Bro. Jonathan Vliet was also our speaker during our Hour of Worship in the morning of Sabbath.

Opening of 1 Week Crusade

Last night was the first night of a 1 Week Crusade being held at Pag Asa Elementary School Covered Court. With Bro. Jonathan Vliet of Generation of Youth for Christ from the USA. Interpreted by Sis Ana Arnisto, the program was delayed for a few minutes because of heavy rain.

ACS Blood Donation Project

We have just held another Sagip-Buhay, a Voluntary Blood Donation yesterday. With the help of The Philippine National Red Cross Laguna Chapter the project was another successful event. We'll post photos soon.

Revelation of Hope

Liliw Seventh-day Adventist we be having a one week nightly crusade starting on Friday, July 10, 2009. The theme will be Revelation of Hope with different nightly topic. Our foreign speaker will be Bro. Jonathan Vliet. The crusade will features Children Hour, Learning Heavenly Songs, Health and Livelihood Lectures and Bible Study. This will be held at Pag-Asa Elementary School Covered Court, Liliw, Laguna from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

We will be having our quarterly communion service this coming Saturday, Sabbath Day. Our district pastor will lead the ceremony.

Mother's Day Message

Our theme last Sabbath was Mother's Day special. Our Sabbath School Superintendent, Sis Ana Arnisto has a special gift to all the mothers present during Sabbath School. Bro Jaime Dones delivered the Hour of Worship message with Mother's day theme. Sis Yvette Rosales from Nagcarlan SDA Church rendered a special song before the message and Sis. Tracy Lynn Montesines rendered another song after the Speaker messaged. AY program started at about 2:30 in the afternoon with AY leader, Bro. Jezreel Arnisto presiding.

Speaker Last Sabbath

Last Saturday during the Hour of Worship, Bro. Robin Olor delivered the message for the brethren. His message was about Laodecean church, the common problem of the church member. AY program started late because of a bad weather.

Laguna I Camp Meeting Fellowship

The Laguna 1 District of SCLC just finished its 5 day Camp Meeting Fellowship with Sabbath Worship at San Lorenzo, San Pablo City. Ptr Jessie Samiento from the US was the speaker. The emphasis of his message was about Family values. The importance of our Parents especially in Adventist Family.

We started our Vacation Bible School yesterday with more than 30 students. Led by Reynalyn Arvesu together with Sarah, Robin and Zurich, they composed the teaching staff of this year VBS. We'll be having a visitor this coming Saturday from Manila Center Adventist Church. Sis Cecille Dones, together with her friends from Manila will handle the program from morning till afternoon. A mini concert in the afternoon during AY program. They will arrive this coming Friday.

We will be having a Communion Service this coming Saturday. This will be our first for this year. Our speaker last Sabbath was Bro. Sam Jaoud, our PM director and one of our Elder.

Blood Donation Project

We just finished our Sagip-Buhay, a Voluntary Blood Donation project yesterday at Liliw Town Plaza. We thank all who help and make this project a success. We thank God for his guidance.

Child Dedication

Bro. Johnson and Janice Arvesu dedicate their son last Saturday. Ptr. Panghulan led the ceremony after his Hour of Worship Message. Potluck at the basement followed after the second service and AY started at about 2 pm.

There will be a seminar on e-Roster that wiil be held at South-Central Luzon Conference. Church clerk, treasurer from Laguna, Batangas and Quezon are expected to attend.

Mrs Helen Gulfan - SSD Women Ministry Director

The speaker last Sabbath during the Laguna I District Fellowship held at Rizal, Laguna was Mrs. Helen Gulfan, Southern Asia Pacific Division Women Ministry Director. Her message was about the role now a days of womens in evangelism. The emphasis was Womens Ministry, Music Ministry and Evangelism. Also present was Mrs. Luz Villanueva, South-Central Luzon Conference Women Ministry Director and Mrs. Esther Daquila, North Philippine Union Mission Women Minstry Director.

A visitor from the Accounting Department of SCLC, Bro Roland Fabon was our speaker last Sabbath. He's emphasis was about Stewardship. His family was also present together with Bro. Jeoffrey Oabel and his family. We have a Potluck at the basement at lunch time and AY started at about 1:30 in the afternoon.

Mini Fellowship at Rizal, Laguna

Yesterday, we are in the newly constructed Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rizal, Laguna. With Nagcarlan SDA Church, Liliw SDA Church and the host Rizal SDA Church gathered together to hold a mini fellowship with our District Pastor, Ptr Lem Fadriquela. Also present was Dir. Juanito Relampagos, SCLC Publishing Director and others Literature Envangelist. Dir. Relampagos led the Sabbath School Lesson and Ptr. Fadriquela delivered the message in Hour or Worship. In the afternoon Dir. Relampagos held a mini seminar about health and Ptr. Fadriquela gave the strategic plan for this year.

Bro. Ramil Dayo, our Family Life Director, delivered the message last Sabbath during our Hour of Worship. Special song rendered by Jen-Jen Dayo and AY program started at 2 pm.

Women Ministry Seminar

The Laguna 1 Women Ministry Seminar was held here at Liliw SDA Church last Sunday afternoon. Womens especially the Women Ministry Director from different churches attended the seminar led by Bro. Benjie Sulit together with Ptr. Relampagos. The seminar was about how the womens can help in evangelism. What they can do to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The seminar started at about 2 in the afternoon up to about 5 pm.

Message from SCLC PM/SS Director

Ptr. Wally Panaglima, South-Central Luzon Conference Personal Ministry and Sabbath School Director, delivered the message for our Hour of Worship last Sabbath, January 10, 2009. Ptr. Panaglima also led our Sabbath School Lesson study. In the afternoon, AY program started at 2 pm with Sis Sarah Arvesu who led the program.

Last Sabbath, Bro. Elmor Agapay was the speaker for Divine Hour of Worship. And last December 27 was our Year End Get Together. Some of our officer was in Rizal SDA Church, the newly constructed church located in Rizal, Laguna.
