Voluntary Blood Donation Project (Sagip Buhay)

Yesterday, December 17, 2006, Liliw SDA Church led by Adventist Community Service, held the last for this year program for a Voluntary Blood Donation. Together with the Laguna Chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross, we set up at around 8:00 in the morning. Councilor Lito Aquino was also there to help us. Laguna I District Fellowship

Yesterday, December 16 was the last District Fellowship for 2006. It was held at Rizal Elementary School, Rizal, Laguna. The host church was Nagcarlan SDA Church. The guest speaker was Bro. Sampson, a foreign student from AIIAS. And in the afternoon was a min i concert then exchange gift from churches. And the dedication of next year Officers from different Churches and DACC/DCC Officers.

Sagip Buhay - A Voluntary Blood Donation

It will be this coming Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Liliw Municipal Town Plaza from 8:00 am to 3:00 p.m. So we ask for your support and prayers for the success of this project.

Laguna I Children District Fellowship

This morning Sabbath Worship speaker was Bro. Lito Montesines. and this afternoon The Laguna I held the 1st Children District Fellowship "Let There be Praises" at Nagcarlan Central School, Nagcarlan, Laguna. It's like a mini-concert where children from each churches rendered 3 to 5 performances. Parents are there to support their childrens. The program started at 1:30 pm and end at about 4:30 pm.

Medical Mission Tomorrow

We are ready for tomorrow's Medical Mission. The Officers and members of Liliw Seventh-day Adventist are ready for tomorrow medical mission. The services which we will offer are Free Medical Check-Up, Dental and Minor Surgery. We are now finalizing some details, we're having a meeting for all the commitee. Medical Mission on Nov. 5

Liliw Seventh-day Adventist led by Adventist Community Service will hold a Medical Mission on Nov. 5, 2006, Sunday at Liliw Municipal Town Plaza from 8 am to 4 pm. The Medical team coming from Manila is thru the effort of Bro. Ramil Dayo. The ACS team were able to solicit financial support from different people, government, politician and ordinary people.

Thyphoon Milenyo

Thyphoon codename Milenyo has devastated our country. Our power supply was cut down for almost 6 days. Our electricity here in Liliw was only restored this afternoon. Some of us has no water supply for two days. This typhoon that hit our country destroy many trees and crops. Thank God that nobody hurts especially to our brother and sisters.

Harvest Ingathering

Last night was the start of our harvest ingathering. The harvest ingathering fund drive was done by serenading houses and family. They gave the solicitation letter in the afternoon to each house that they will serenade that night. Mostly womens, the first night was a good start for the harvest ingathering fund drive.

Child Dedication

Yesterday, Bro. Willy and Sis. Debbie Panaglima dedicated their 7 months child Daryl to our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Villarias led the child dedication ceremony and our district pastor, Ptr. Fadriquela gave the message for the hour of worship.

Last Night of Crusade

Friday Vesper was the last day of the Crusade. Our prayers are answered because from the start up to the end of the Crusade, God gave us good weather. We used LCD projector, a laptop computer, a DVD and a good sound system for our Crusade. Our visitor and audience especially the children, enjoy the 30 minutes bible movie that we show every night before the medical and spiritual lecture. And tonight was the social night at Brgy. Palina to celebrate the success of the Crusade, followed by an outing tommorrow morning. Next sabbath, we'll have baptism.

Start of Crusade

Yesterday was the start of the one week Crusade at Brgy. Palina. We started to put up the tent after lunch. It's raining when they put up the tent, but thru prayers nad God goodness the rain stop to fall by 5 pm. We are able to arrange the chair and speakers and about 5:30 pm some of the childrens are already waiting. By 7:15 p.m. we are able to start the program . The Crusade end at around past 9:00 and after the crusade when we're going home the rain start to pour again.

Tomorrow's Crusade

The start of our one week Crusade will begin tomorrow, Sunday at 6:30 pm. at DSWD Center, Ilayang Palina. This afternoon after AY program we went to Brgy. Palina to distribute the program for the Crusade. We inspect the place and tomorrow morning they will install the tent and other things needed for the program.

Crusade will start on Sunday

The one week Crusade will start on Sunday, Aug 13 until Aug 19, 2006 from 6:30 pm to around 8:30 pm. Lay Pastor Ocfemia will lead the Crusade. Last Saturday afternoon after AY program we went to Brgy. Palina to get some kind of survey and to invite the people for the coming Crusade. Next week will be the ground preparation for next month Crusade. Each small groups will be assigned to different specific area at Barangay Palina, Liliw, Laguna. The Crusade will be on 13th up to 19th of August. The one week nightly program will start from 6:30 p.m. up to 8:45 p.m.

Our Sabbath Speaker

This morning, we start our program with the Family Time led by Bro. Ramil Dayo and Sis Juanita Dayo and then our Sabbath School lesson was led by Sis. Susan Brena, the very realiable Sabbath School Lesson teacher. Our Sabbath Worship speaker was not the scheduled person (our Elder Bro. Dony), because this Sabbath we have so many guest who can be a candidate to give message like Sis. Susan and Bro. Elmor. But before the Sabbath Worship begun the Director of Publishing/SOP of South Central Luzon Conference – Dir. Juanito D Relampagos came. His son who happen to be the guest speaker of Liliw Bukal asked him to accompany him to Liliw so he decided to go to our Church. Dir. Juanito D Relampagos topic was about the Noah's Ark, he bring with him his visual aid (Laptop Computer and the LCD Projector).
In the afternoon program, Directorr Relampagos topic was about health, what's good and what's bad. We are blessed this afternoon program because we learned a lot of things of how we can take care of our health.

Laguna I District Fellowship

The Laguna I district fellowship was held this morning at Santiago Elementary School, Brgy. Santiago I, San Pablo City. This is the second time that Santiago I SDA Church host the fellowship after almost 9 years. The emphasis for this quarter are Children, Family Life and Education Ministry. It was the first time for our new district pastor, Pastor Lemuel Fadriquela to join the district fellowship. The guest speaker for this fellowship was Pastor Arden Perdon, Dean from AUP Student Affairs Office. And with Pastor Perdon was the guest choir, the AUP Young Voices and some of AUP teacher. In the afternoon program was a Bible Quiz Bee for children division then special song from AUP Young Voices and Laguna I District Children Choir. Then the presentation of Laguna I Elementary School Teacher and last was the Tribute to Mothers and Fathers before the Message from Pastor Arden Perdon. Thanks and Good Luck

Our speaker for our Sabbath Worship was no other than Sis Dinalyn Arnisto Arguelles, known to many as Len-Len. Yesterday was her last Sabbath worship before she leave for U.S. today, to work as a nurse and be with her husband Ryan. Len for us has done so many things that we're surely miss her, especially her dedication and perseverance to improve and encourage every members to be active in the church. Len together with her husband Ryan has been one of those responsible in soliciting fund for our Church Building. So in behalf of the Officers and Members of Liliw SDA Church we wish you goodluck and GOD bless. We also want to wish her sister, Sis Michelle, GOD blessing for her family, they also leave on Monday.

Repair and Renovation still going on

Today is the 17th day of repair. Our elder Bro. Dony, together with Bro. Rhey and Bro. Nasar are present to help, they're the one who do some painting job. So we're encouraging and asking every members especially the youth to help in the painting job. Lets do "Bayanihan" to finish the repair as soon as possible. Children Division

Last May 28, 2006 we, the children's division (primaries only) had an examination from lesson 1-8 and many from them passed that exam. Miles Pales got the highest score, Tracy Lyn Montesines got the second place and Jason Montesines got the third place and for the others study hard pa para makakuha ng mataas na score sa exam. I conducted this kind of exam to enhance the knowledge of the primary students and to become more interesting our sabbath school lesson lesson.

Couples Banquet

Last Sunday, May 28, 2006, a Couples Banquet was held at South-Central Luzon Conference Compound in San Pablo City, Laguna. Its was part of the 75th year celebration of SCLC. Different SDA Church was represented. From what I gather it was a successful and meaningful event that night. Most of the couples and even single members of our church and other churches attended the occassion. What was remarkable and the highlight from that night was the Couples of the Night. The event organizer has chosen Mr. and Mrs. Geminiano Dones. Daddy Jaime and Mommy Iday was announced the Couples of the Night. Congratulation and we know you deserved it.

Repair and Renovation has just started

Repair and renovation of the church has started last Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Rainy season is coming so the Officers and Building Commitee decided to start the repair. They start to repair the ceiling and the roof. With God's help and your continue support in helping us generate fund, we can finish it sooner. Vacation Bible School Graduation

The VBS graduation was finally held last tuesday, May 16, 2006. Because of the typhoon that hit the country, the VBS graduation was postponed last saturday. From what I had learned it was a successful program, unfortunately I wasn't able to take pictures of the program coz I'm in Manila at that time. Anyway in behalf of the Officers and Members of the Liliw Seventh-day Adventist Church, we would like to congratulate the teachers and their aid for a successful Vacation Bible School program and we would also like to thank those in-charge of food for the merienda of the student of VBS. We hope to see you again next year.

Vacation Bible School Graduation Postpones


Last day of Vacation Bible School was last Friday, May 12. But because of the typhoon that hit the country, electricity was cut down for 3 days from last friday 12:45 pm in the afternoon until last night 10 pm. Even if there's typhoon that friday morning there are still more students who attend the last day and practice of the VBS. The scheduled VBS graduation last Saturday afternoon was postponed. Second Day of Vacation Bible School


Day 2 of Vacation Bible School was so hot coz there's no electricity. There were more students than yesterday. Brownout lasted until 10:30 am. Branch Sabbath School Graduation


The Branch Sabbath School Graduation was held this afternoon at Ilayang Palina Day Care Center. At around 3:00 p.m. we pick the children from their respective house and took them to the barangay center where we held the program. Sis Ana Arnisto, Branch Sabbath School Director together with the different area group leader led by Sis. Len-Len Arguelles, Sis. Lucy Montesines, Sis. Sarah Arvesu and Sis Diane, Children's Director. Each graduates were given a certificate. And after the program followed a merienda for the kids. Sis Iday and Bro. Jaime Dones and Sis. Thanks to MAMC Choir


In behalf of the officers and members of Liliw Seventh-day Adventist Church, we would like to thanks the Manila Adventist Medical Center Choir for their afternoon concert held yesterday, Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Liliw SDA Church. We are able to generate fund from the offering collected from those who watch the beautiful concert. This project was done thru the effort of Sis. Dinalyn (Len-Len) Arguelles. The afternoon concert also feature our very own Sis. Jen-Jen Dayo who sung 2 beautiful songs. Lets continue to support our church building fund.

MAMC Choir Concert for Church Building Fund

Liliw Seventh-day Adventist Church will be having an afternoon concert led by Manila Adventist Medical Center Choir on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00 pm. at Liliw SDA Church. Sis. Dinalyn (Len-Len) Arguelles invited the MAMC Choir to stage a concert to be able to generate fund for our building fund. So we're inviting everyone to come and see this beautiful concert on Saturday. Aside for helping us generate fund you will be blessed with the beautiful music and songs by the MAMC choir.

Sagip Buhay

8th Sabbath of our Branch Sabbath School

This afternoon was the 8th Sabbath of the ongoing Branch Sabbath School being held at Brgy. Palina. But today activities was not as good as the previous day because in one group there was no children who attend the branch sabbath school. Maybe because last Sabbath, March 18 was fellowship and we did not have any branch sabbath school in that day.

The Laguna I District Fellowship was held yesterday, Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Liliw Town Plaza. The host for this fellowship was Bukal SDA. The district of Laguna I was composed of the following churches namely: Alaminos SDA Church, Liliw Bukal SDA Church, Liliw SDA Church, Magdalena SDA Church, Majayjay SDA Church, Nagcarlan SDA Church, San Pablo SDA Church, Santiago I SDA Church, Sta. Lucia SDA Church, and Sta. Isabel SDA Church. The guest speaker was Pstr. Claro R. Vicente, LMS Director. Guest choir is from Binan, Laguna, Singers Rejoicing for Jesus. In the afternoon program, Accomplishment report of different churches and song number by church. Message from Pstr. Vicente and last part of program was the Recognition for Batch 2005-2006 Graduates. Speaker of the Day

Our speaker for the day in our Hour of Worship was Pastor Wally Panaglima. He was born and raised in this town of Liliw. We're glad to have him here and it's has been a long time since his last visit. He is a director from North Philippine Union Mission. His message was something to do with families and how to become stronger with our faith. He was also our Sabbath School Teacher in that morning.

On Sunday, March 12, 2006, Liliw SDA Church will have a community service called "Operation Iwas Sakit Program" at Brgy. Ibabang Palina. In the morning from 7:00 a.m. til 10:00 a.m. there will be another street cleaning and in the afternoon, after lunch, 1:30 p.m. there will be a Health lectures, Hydro Therapy and after that a cooking demo (gluten/vegemeat making). This program will be held at Barangay Day Care Center. This is part of the project of Liliw SDA Church to reach and and at the same time spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Another Condolences

Last Saturday evening, another of our brother in Christ died. He is the nephew of our Bro. Jaime and Sis Iday Dones. Bro. Randel Dones was stabbed to death by unidentified robber while inside a passenger jeepney. He is young and talented brother in Christ. We condole with the family of Tita Daisy Dones and Sis. Cecille Dones. His remain lies in Manila. Interment will be on Sunday morning.

Our Condolences

We condole with the family of our sister in Christ, Tita Fany, for departure of her husband Bro. Gem last week. His remain lies at their residence here in Liliw. Interment will be today after the Services at 2:00 pm Feb 14, 2006.

Adventist Community Service

Liliw SDA has done a community service yesterday morning, Sunday, at Barangay Ibabang Palina, in this town of Liliw. Mostly womens, they start cleaning the street of the said barangay from 7:00 up to about 10:00 in the morning. This community services is part of our ground preparation together with our ongoing branch sabbath school every saturday afternoon for the plan cottage meeting in this barangay. Liliw SDA is also planning to have some health lectures and livelihood project in the coming months.

Sabbath Worship

Yesterday our guest speaker was our former district pastor of Laguna I, no other than Pastor Billy Villarias. His topic was about the end time, some of the last day events. This was his first visit in year 2006. In behalf of our brothers and sisters of Liliw SDA Church, we've like to thank Pastor Villarias for visiting our church.

Speaker of the day

Last Sabbath, February 4, we are glad to have as guest speaker, our district pastor of Laguna I, Pastor Taray. His message was timely and we gain more knowledge on how to improve ourselves as a Seventh-Day Adventist. But because of time constraint, Pastor Taray has cut short his message. Maybe next time when he visit us again, he can impart more message to us. Thanks to our district pastor. God Bless.

This afternoon we held our 3rd day of braanch sabbath school at Brgy. Ibabang Palina. Three groups went to their respective area. The response is great and hope to fulfill our goal

Branch Sabbath School

Liliw SDA Church is having a branch sabbath school which started last Jan 21, 2006 aat Barangay Ibabang Palina, Liliw, Laguna. New Sabbath School Director, Sis. Ana Arnisto has formed different groups and assigned each group with a leader. Yesterday afternoon after AY program each group went to their own assigned area. The number of participant seems to be increasing coz more and more children are interested to join the sabbath school program. With the help of our brothers and sisters, we can accomplish our goal of spreading the gospel of Christ on this side of the town. God bless us all.
